JHP Visuals collaborated with The Wash House Garden, a community and market garden based in Glasgow that connects people to food, land, and each other through the practice of growing.
The piece offers an insight into the values, people, and seasonal rhythms that shape life in the garden. Rooted in principles of land justice, queer ecology, and community nourishment, The Wash House Garden is collectively stewarded by a team of queer, trans, and disabled growers. The film will reflect their vision of food growing as a radical, restorative act, one that centres marginalised communities and builds toward a world of shared abundance.
Through intimate visuals and grounded storytelling, this film aims to honour the care, resistance, and imagination that flourish in this small but powerful urban sanctuary.
This film was donated part of our commitment to 1% for the Planet.
