Balance

Inspired by stories of the mountains from a young age, Rab athlete, Georgia Tindley, moved to the highlands to be close to the Scottish landscapes she read and dreamed about.

Today, as well as being an English teacher - an occupation hardly renowned for its abundance of free time - Georgia competes at the highest level of the British skyrunning scene.

In this meditative love letter to books, running and the wild highlands she now calls home, we join Georgia on her quest for one of the most important things in life: Balance.

​

Balance came about after a conversation with Georgia over a year ago. We wanted to make a film together around her love for the mountains and passion for sharing them with her students, but weren't entirely sure about the angle until we sat down and discussed balance in life.

I think it's something we are all looking for, and can often be all too elusive, especially when you add training to be an elite level athlete into the mix.

​

I knew books were a really important part of Georgia's life, but I hadn't realised the deeper importance that they had for her personal search for balance until we chatted, and that's when I knew what the narrative needed to be.

We wanted to film on Georgia's home trails, and keen to take any opportunity to show off Scotland filming in the Cairngorms was a no brainer.

We are all really proud of Balance and cant wait to see it go out to the world and inspire the next generation to put on their running shoes and explore the trails.
