CASE STUDY
Footsteps
Rab Equipment
An award-winning expedition documentary following four women retracing a historic Himalayan route, exploring leadership, sustainability and modern adventure.
The Challenge
Filming in the Himalaya presented significant constraints, including altitude, remoteness, unpredictable weather and limited access. Rather than working with a traditional film crew, the expedition was filmed from within the team itself, creating a uniquely intimate perspective but requiring careful planning, remote direction and a robust post production process to turn raw footage into a coherent film.
Our Approach
We worked closely with the expedition team to plan and capture self-shot footage in extreme conditions, ensuring key moments and storylines were documented. In post production, we shaped 128 hours of raw material into a tightly structured 32 minute documentary, focusing on narrative, character and emotional depth to create an immersive and engaging film.
Project Impact
The film delivered both cultural and commercial impact, strengthening Rab’s brand credibility while engaging global audiences. It also contributed to wider conversations around sustainable expedition practices and responsible adventure, extending its relevance beyond the film itself.
