The Challenge

The Martin Moran Foundation supports young people facing barriers to accessing the outdoors, delivering experiences that have a lasting impact on confidence, direction and opportunity. Communicating this impact is complex, involving personal stories, sensitive backgrounds and outcomes that go beyond simple metrics.

The challenge was to create films that authentically represent young people’s experiences, clearly communicate impact to supporters and funders, and build long-term engagement and trust in the charity.

Our Approach

We developed a consistent, people-first storytelling approach over a five-year partnership. Each film is built around real voices and lived experiences, supported by cinematic visuals that capture the scale and emotion of the mountain environment.

Filming is handled with care and sensitivity, ensuring young people feel comfortable and respected throughout the process. This approach balances powerful storytelling with clear communication, creating content that is both impactful and appropriate for the audience.

The films have become central to how the Foundation communicates its work, engages its audience and demonstrates impact. They are used across digital platforms, social media, events, funding applications and donor reporting, helping to increase engagement, strengthen relationships and support fundraising activity.
